akin Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 My first try at Hotwire. 8/11/09 got **1/2 RAMA INN for 8/21-23 in Redmond at $49/night After taxes $118.xxAfter their taxes and fees I could have done better just getting it on Hotel.com where they had it listed for $53I think the taxes in real life would have been about 10% so $53 *2 nights +tax = 117I paid about $118 for both nights via Hotwire. so the lower price was gobbled up in higher fees.Of course I didn't know ahead of time that I was getting Rama Inn.This was a learning experience.Oh yeah, Hotwire rated this **1/2 but elsewhere I saw it listed as **Any help or pointers would be appreciated. Starting in a few months I plan to travel using hotels and resorts for several years.
