cbmtrx
I don't understand. I just submitted bids of $70 and $80 for downtown pittsburgh for 9/10/09, first with 4* then 3*, and was denied both times.Should I wait until just a couple of weeks before to have my bid accepted? Or am I missing something? Link to comment

AaronJB
Those wins are for different dates than your own. Link to comment
thereuare
Using the Priceline winning bid linked above, that user won the Omni William Penn for their dates... check that property for your dates and you'll see it's sold-out. This isn't to say that all hotels are sold-out, but it is probably indicative that your dates have higher demand than usual; higher than usual demand typically means higher than usual bids are needed to win a hotel. What is the best rate you're able to find for your nite thru conventional booking channels? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. taliategan
The Steelers are playing the Titans on the night of 9/10, so hotels in the Downtown area will be tough to get for that night. Link to comment
