Hotwire Hotel: Need help, want beach front in gulf shores hotwire

I'm sure I have violated some posting rule, but I just need some help picking a hotel for gulf shores. If, there is not a beach front icon, could the hotel still be on the beach? results on HOTWIRE for gulf shores include:

2.5 * beakfast,pool, laundry, internet

3* busines center, laundry

2* pool, internet

I really want beach front, and don't want to take the risk. My 1 yr anniversary! Thanks for any help!

If there is not a beach front icon, there's no guarantee it will be on the beach (and it probably isn't.)

What are your dates of travel and budget per night?

We want to stay Sept. 18'th through 21'st. If we could just keep it under 100 dollars a night, really about $85 would be good. I have used HOTWIRE before but not PRICELINE. It is important that we have a beach front hotel. I hate all the new high rises. wish the old, beach front hotels were still there! Thanks

It doesn't appear that any of the above would meet your needs for this trip... so you have any 'traditional booking' options that are on the beach and within your budget?

We ended up not staying at Gulf shores, we went to Destin. I couldn't be sure that the Hotwire hotels in gulf shores were right on the beach and I didn't want to risk it. we stayed at the Sea oats Motel in Destin, FL. It is a 30 yr. old Motel, but right on the water, and just a few steps away from the beach. It was like old time Florida. Not a high rise. I would recommend highly. No frills, but clean and right on the water and close to eateries; we will return.
