Priceline Hotel: Need 4* Millenium/Loop 9/16-9/22

We tried unsuccessfully to bid on a 4* in the Loop for 6 nights in Mid-September. We followed previously posted successful bids but were not able to land the deal ourselves.

First attempt:

1st Bid: Selected the Loop and NMA zones, 4*, $50-Rejected

2nd Bid: Added Midway Zone, $55-Rejected

3rd Bid: Added Skokie, $57-Rejected

4th Bid: Added Lincoln Park, $59-Rejected

Second attempt:

1st Bid: Selected the Loop, 4*, $65-Rejected

2nd Bid: Added 3 1/2*, $67-Rejected

3rd Bid: Added NMA, $69-Rejected

Is it because we are trying for 6 nights or is there a special event taking place that we are not aware of?

Rates don't seem too bad during these dates, but when trying to compare other wins, keep in mind that rates are "date-specific" - if they are not the exact same as yours, they can not be used to determine bidding.

What would be your max bid per night for these dates?
