Priceline Hotel: Chicago 10/12 - 10/13

Have tried all the tricks and rebids I can think of and can't make headway on this one. This is for the U2 concert and apparently there is a convention that weekend. Anyone have any luck on this weekend. I have gotten up to $160 on the bid with no luck.

Am wondering if I have to go to Skokie or some other area.

There's 1 on the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins for $110. Check there also. There was only 1 for the 12th though.

What have you bid for exactly? 4* River North/NMA, MP/Loop/Grant Park or both? The only downtown listing on HOTWIRE is over $300 :)

It really comes down to it being a matter of what staying downtown is worth to you. You've already bid up to $160 downtown (which would add another $30-40 if your'e driving), while HOTWIRE has a 3.5* in the North suburb of Northbrook for $59 (plus, unless things have changed in the 'burbs that I'm not aware of, free parking.) Would be a bit of a trip in, but again, you'd be saving probably in the neighborhood of $125-150 (if not a bit more than that.) You could probably get a suburban hotel for even cheaper than that via PRICELINE.
