Priceline Hotel: 3* Chicago (NMA - River North) Hilton Garden Inn

I tried a bunch of bids with 4* and 3.5* hotels (we wanted to stay in NMA - River North or Millenium Park/Loop area) using the re-bidding method, ranging from $65/night to $90/night, and didn't get any bites. Finally lowered down to 3*, bid $75/night, and was accepted right away at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Would have preferred a 4* or 3.5* for this price (especially since I've seen so many here get such great deals!), but it's my understanding that there is a huge trade show going on that weekend, as well as some other big events, so we're pretty happy.

I used the PRICELINE links on this board, and also checked out the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins for guidance.

This may not be a 4*, but it is certainly one of the best of the 3*'s, and benefits from an excellent River North location. There is also a subway station directly out front of the hotel.

Have been trying for 9/12/09-9/13/09 over last couple of weeks bids between 55-90, plus I have 20 bonus cash that increases my bid (55-90 plus 20). Tried mainly 3-3.5-4 stars in chicago area, nma, lincoln park and grant park/mil park. First pick would be grant park if possible. Just tried again around 12cst for 75 plus 20 bonus cash =95 for all areas above and 3 stars, after reading previous post, but no luck. any advice?
