choco1 Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Hi everyone,This is what I got for Hotwire, 4 star in Chicago Loop, the W Chicago City Center:Amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet AccessPrice: $99 per nightDates: 2 night stay, 8/21 (Friday) to 8/23 (Sunday)I did use the Better Bidding HOTWIRE link to book the room.Anyone know much about this W hotel? Thank you!
AaronJB Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. This W gets some very mixed reviews, but I actually stayed there once and enjoyed it immensely. It is a very different property - dark lighting, dark colors (if you need light and bright, you may not care for this property), but very nice rooms and relaxing, as well as very nice/polite service from all workers who I spoke to or passed. It's definitely a "love it or hate it" hotel, but I had a good experience there. One note: there's not a whole lot right around this hotel in the Loop aside from the Sears Tower and offices. It does get very quiet in this area later at night - if you need any necessities (snacks, drinks, etc), get them during the day because there's not much around at night. During the day, fine area and easy access to State St. shopping and museums.Using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start future purchases is greatly appreciated.Enjoy your stay.
choco1 Posted August 11, 2009 Author Report Posted August 11, 2009 Thanks for the info AaronJB. I've always wanted to stay at a W, I've heard good things about them overall. As long as the rooms are relaxing and the service is nice, it will be a good stay.
