This is the first time I've ever booked a hotel room via priceline.com. Of course I booked this with boards PRICELINE link.

Newark - Meadowlands (Jersey City)

4* Westin

3 nights (10/16/09-10/19/09), total charge $391,87

Started at $80 but no luck, I continued to add new areas and moved up: $85, $90, $95, $101 - all got rejected. At $110 I finally got the confirmation. Since I'm a first time user, any advice on how I can improve my bidding strategy in the future is highly welcome.

With all the zones you have here would i have gone 95-99-101-105-110. But this because i have seen the amounts this hotel hits at. You bidding is fine, the only thing is your step 101-110, next time do 101-105-110. But we dont know if you had hit at 105. But when you have the time and zones, move in smaller steps.

You bidding is fine, the only thing is your step 101-110, next time do 101-105-110. But we dont know if you had hit at 105. But when you have the time and zones, move in smaller steps.

Thanks for your advice. I guess I lost patience towards the end but I'm very happy with the price I got anyway. Will try to do smaller steps next time.
