Dates are 9/4/2009-9/7/2009, 1 room 2 people. 4 came up with 3 stars or better. Im interested in a 3-star hotel in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area with 3 amenities: Comp breakfast, pool, & laundry at $59 a night and 3-star hotel in Riverwalk South - La Villita Area with 6 ammenities: Fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry internet at $54.

Best guess for this property would be Holiday Inn Market Square-Downtown.

So it turns out it was Hampton Inn, which is a 2.5 Star. So I guess my hesitation is, Is it a good thing it is a 3 now, or am I getting the bad end of tthe deal?

Just to confirm, the Hampton was the Riverwalk North 3*?

Yeah, it was a 3* in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area. $59 a night.

HOTWIRE does rate their properties differently than some services - I believe they take the average ratings of multiple services to figure the rating for their listings. While this may be 2.5* on some services, I'm guessing some may show it at 3*.

Given that the property is $110 full price for these dates, this does seem like a nice discount for the hotel, and free breakfast is a nice bonus.
