snic Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 I used the betterbidding PRICELINE link, and my bid was accepted on my first try. It comes to about $132 with taxes. I included all Manhattan regions north of downtown in my search. The regular price is $279 + tax.TripAdvisor reviews are not that positive; apparently the hotel needs renovation. Even the management agrees, as they posted on TripAdvisor saying that a renovation is planned. However, the location is excellent - it's right next to Grand Central Station. A Queen bedded room was assigned automatically, and when I called the hotel they gladly changed the request to a King size bed.
AaronJB Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)Congrats on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. While this hotel does get mixed reviews, this is an outstanding price for this property, and at $105 - even with some mixed reviews - it's a great value for NYC.Using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase is greatly appreciated.Enjoy your stay.

I got this same property for $115 in June and we were very pleased with our stay. We recieved a King room on an upper level floor and had absoloutly no complaints at all. The room was very big by NYC standards, bed was very comfy and service was great. The only thing we could have complained about were the prices for any "extras", but I guess that's where hotels get their money from now that they sell their rooms so cheap.I've been bidding up to $140 for a 3 1/2* in TS, MTE, MTW, ESA,CSP and Madison Sq. garden area for 4 nights in October and still no luck.
