Hotwire Hotel: Universal Resort Hotels

I would like to stay at one of the 2 Loews hotels at Universal. I have no luck finding them on Hotwire. Has anyone ever won either the Portofino Bay or Royal Pacific on Priceline? My date is Aug 11 one night.

Both Portofino Bay and Royal Pacific are rare on HOTWIRE. I did some alternate searches for your date but the don't show up. I have seen them a few times latley but this have been for dates in the fall and the savings was not much compared to regular rack rate.

I can't get the same hotel to appear. How many rooms/adults/children did you search for? Can you please run a new search and confirm that you still can see this hotel on your search.

Looks like the price jumped a bit since when I posted.

The *3.5 is now $59

The *2.5 is now $41

1 room, 2 adults no children, Aug 11 one night

Wait.....now the *3.5 is at $59 and the *2.5 is $40

Basically, they are the only *3.5 and *2.5 listed Hotels for the Universal Orlando I-Dr North area

I'm only seeing the above when searching for 2adults/2children... with only 2adults i see the above but without a Restaurant icon. (they may be the same hotel but with my 2adults search 'hiding' the Restaurant icon)

When i get the amenities above to appear, i also see a Tripadvisor rating of 4.0/5.0 with 320+ reviews, which would make it a match for the DoubleTree Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando so that would be my best guess. Not sure if your 2adult search with Restaurant also shows the TA rating, but if not you may want to try searching for 2adults/2children and see if the TA info shows as this would give a bit of added confidence.
