I am looking at a 3 star Seattle Downtown - Pike Place for 8/13 one room/one night/two people.

Amenities are Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Business Center, Laundry, and High Speed Internet Access.

Any idea what this might be?

I think I just closed my San Juan thread. So I am now trying to "bump" this one. I am a beginner at this, so please bear with me.

No problem; you did everything correctly. Just remember in the future to post your purchases at the time you make them.

This hotel hasn't been identified, but there aren't many hotels in this area that have complimentary breakfast. Also, this hotel disappears (and no other 3* hotel takes its place) when you try the search for more than 2 people. Based on those observations, my best guess is the Homewood Suites Convention Center - Pike Street. If I'm right this room might not be a suite, although their website shows no availability for their non-suite guest rooms.

I ended up using PRICELINE for this and got the 3 star Homewood Suites for $122. I bid $100, and I got the counter offer asking if I wanted to bid $22 more. It's not the best deal I've gotten, but everything seems high for that night. Must be something going on in Seattle.

While on the surface this may not appear to be the best deal ever, rates are quite high for these dates and this is still a substantial discount vs. a conventionally booked room for this nite.
