goodeb Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Hi,I am planning to stay in montreal for 1 night on the night of aug 14th. I am willing to pay up to 60USD (before fees) per night for a 3.5* in montreal downtown. What would be the best bidding strategy? Should I start with as low as 50USD and work my way up to 60USD every 24 hours? Thanks!
The one and only Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 there is a win reported at 61$ for a 3.5 star during your date so you might get lucky. But i would try to go up maybe to 70$ to make sure you have something. As far as bidding strategy goes, i would go slowly with the increase since you still have time.
thereuare Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 At the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3.5* Downtown...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
