gsr Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 I have been bid from $75 to $87 on a 4 star in Vancouver for September 19th without success. Comparison wins appear to be in that range. Is it too early??? Will I have a better chance at this level if I wait until under 30 days?
carbo Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 I have also had no luck bidding on a 4* hotel in September (8 - 13), bidding up to $105 with no acceptance.
AaronJB Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Carbo, please start a new thread and we will be happy to help you there.GSR,Welcome to the site. Keep in mind that rates are "date-specific" - if there's something going on on these dates, rates are going to be higher. What would be your budget per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links when you are ready to book.
gsr Posted August 5, 2009 Author Report Posted August 5, 2009 After review of winning bids for 4 * in Vancouver, I believe I am in the ball park now. If I do not suceed at this bidding level, as a fall back I will use points to book a 4* for the night.
AaronJB Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Please let us know if you have any questions. :)
carbo Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Sorry I wasn't asking for help. Just wanted to let the person asking the question know that it could be possible that there isn't much inventory available for September dates.
