Priceline Hotel: 3* NYC (Madison Square Garden-Convention) Ramada Plaza New Yorker

Hello,

We are looking for a 3* or higher (who doesn't hope for higher?) in NYC this weekend for three nights, 8/7-8/10.

Ideally, we want to stay in one of these areas: Chelsea, MSG, ESB, MTE, MTW, CPS, or TS.

Now for the hard part. For 3*, we are willing to pay 80-100 per night, before fees and taxes. Up to 130 per night for anything higher. I know that limits us.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been bidding for two days and am up to 120 per night after tweaking the bids and have found no success with the 3.5/4* hotels. Today, I will try 3* hotels, if I do not get something higher. We are flying in and just soaking in the sights, mainly by foot, so parking is not an issue. Thanks to the site and members for the wealth of information!

I went just a little higher than I wanted on a 3* today, but I received the Ramada Plaza New Yorker Hotel - MSG area - for 122/night for 3 nights. Taxes and fees were 76.77 bringing my total to 442.77. Seems reasonable for the area, and I am glad that I read this board for so many bidding tips.
