points Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Originally bid $51 as per other bids here, then Priceline responded that if I bid $14 more, they would not change any of the categories as I wanted downtown.Got the Westin, not as well-reviewed as some others, but still a great deal when the price listed for those dates is $215.I did bid through the PRICELINE link on this site, and when offered the new bid, it was still within the browser window, so I didn't have to go back through the this site to rebook.
thereuare Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success... looks like a great deal for this property and a very nice discount vs. a conventionally booked room for these dates. For future reference, you can ususally undercut PRICELINE's counter-offer by using re-bid zones (see Priceline Suggests Price to Pay and Priceline Re-Bidding Explained for further info) and feel free to ask any questions you might have.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
