Priceline booking stands for 2 or more

I booked a room in Hilton Athens Greece. I know all rooms on Priceline are based on double occupancy, I have 2 little kids one is 2 one is 5, usually we stay in one room without any problem in north America. This time we are going to europe, so I call Hilton to double confirm the situation to prevent hassles there, but they said they don't allow 4 people sleep in a double occupied room even they have a king size bed and sofa bed. They seem not like Priceline, I fully understand that priceline chopped their price heavily. They said according to fire marshal law, we can't stay in the room. I want to know is there any other way we can do it? I am willing to pay an additional fee to them.
