bruin4ever Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Fellow Bidders:Anyone know if the Doubletree at the Seattle Airport is amenable to requests for 2 queens instead of 1 king? Thanks,George
thereuare Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 As there are many variables involved, room requests getting honored isn't something that is black and white, so somebody elses experience (positive or negative) won't necessarily be the same as yours... hotel occupancy levels for your particular dates play a big factor, as does the mood of the front desk clerk at check-in, what's available when you check-in, etc. (and a reminder that if you're bidding on PRICELINE, and haven't won this property yet, there's no assurance that the Doubletree is the property you will receive)If two beds is a need (vs. want) two beds then searching HOTWIRE for more than double occupancy might be a better, yet slightly more expensive, option for this booking. Although note that the second 'bed' could be pullout sofabed, a rollaway bed brought into the room, etc. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please read the last message i sent you. inspiration100 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Yeah, when I stay here they have never had a problem getting two queens. Like thereuare pointed out, it could very well depend on how full the hotel is. Oh btw, the rooms in the far wing overlook a nice little lake, you might ask for a room on that side :). The tower is okay, but the wing with the lake (wing 4) is alot nicer. It's a little walk though. The Seattle hotel guy.... Stayed in 14 hotels downtown and counting! bruin4ever Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 Thank you for the heads up, inspiration 100.
