Priceline Hotel: 3* Portland (Downtown) Courtyard City Center

I used the PRICELINE link on this site to start my bidding. Saw that someone had got a 4* downtown for under $50 a few months ago. Started bidding at $45, was rejected, added Beaverton - Hillsboro and bid $50, rejected, added Clackamas and bid $55 and was rejected again. I stopped there as I did not want to spend more than that.

Tried $45/night for 3.5* Downtown Portland - unsuccessful.

I decided I wanted to try to get into the Courtyard City Center as many people have won that for under $50, and it gets excellent reviews on Tripadvisor (currently 9th best reviewed hotel in Portland).

Added 3* and bid $45 per night for Downtown Portland only. I was immediately accepted.

It gave the option of extending at the same rate.

Best price on the Marriott Site - $99/night plus taxes and $20 visa gift card.
