I wasn't seriously expecting to win this bid based on the heavy season, but I gave it a shot (including in the YYJ - Victoria Airport area) but did not win a bid.

Instead, there was a $71 3* place on HOTWIRE which I got after this bid failed.

Cheapest hotel in Victoria for the summer, that's for sure. Next one would probably be $100+. Only negative is that you have to drive to get to the city (public transit may be available), but that wasn't an issue for me.
