I have another conference Mon-Fri of next week, but the rate quoted was $110 and I couldn't get them to lower it. (I made my reservations about a month or so ago.)Anyway, this is not such a great place so I decided to throw caution to the wind. I cancelled my reservation for next week yesterday and offered $51 on PRICELINE.Well, I will be staying at the Charleson House again next week but for less than 1/2 the price! THAT I don't mind!

I cancelled my reservation for next week yesterday and offered $51 on PRICELINE.If you did this in the order stated, a good rule of thumb is to first make your PRICELINE purchase, then cancel the back-up reservation... you don't want to cancel the current reservation until you've secured something via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE :)Doesn't look like it mattered at all though because it appears to have worked out perfectly!Have a great trip.
