Ayo Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Hi folks,This board was semi helpful so i decided to contribute to the cause. My Girlfriend and I are going to NYC for Labor Day weekend 9/4-9/7/. I was hoping to get something for about 105ish a night. Reading the board made me realize that I might have to up my expectations. We we're aiming for Time Square and Midtown West in that order. I bid for a 3* at $105. No luck. Built it up to $120 and if offered me to up it $22 more. Bringing it to $142 for a 3 star or better.I decided to try a 2 1/2*. Got the $22 higher offer prompt when i hit $115 bidding. We decided to go ahead and try our hand at the 3* with a $130 bid. It worked as i thought. It seams as thought that we did pretty good for ourselves. We go the Millennium Broadway Hotel which is half a block away from the middle of Time Square. It was rated at a 3 1/2* on the site and Trip Adviser has them rated at a 4*.Total for 3 nights came out to be 471.40.Hope this helps, let me know if you think i scored a decent deal!
