dmwrigh3 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I am looking to secure a 3-4* room in Times Square for 10/26-10/29 and have 4 adults traveling. When I insert 4 people it doesn't bring up any hotels in TS. When I change it to 3 people the 4* hotel comes up at $279 with fitness, high speed internet, business center, and restaurant. I am pretty sure this is the Crowne Plaza (please correct if I am wrong). Will I be safe to book the room for 3 people and "sneak" the other person in? Is it possible they would put us in a room with only 1 bed and maybe a sleeper sofa? Thanks in advance for all your help.
AaronJB Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)Is there a reason why you are only interested in TS? The other areas of Midtown are quite nice and provide easy access to TS.If you only select 3 people and try to sneak the fourth in, that would be at your own risk. Cannot guarantee exact bedding, but with three people, I'd guess either two beds or 1 + sofa. Again though, can't confirm that until check-in.As an alternate idea, the Flatotel is showing for $258 (non-refundable) on Orbitz when I search for four for your dates. Additionally, SUMMERVIN is a coupon code that may take an extra 15% off that price (use of that coupon may require using Visa to purchase.)If you could get the SUMMERVIN coupon code to work, that would be quite a bit cheaper than the HOTWIRE idea and you'd be assured of two beds. Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE or Orbitz.com links to start your purchase.
dmwrigh3 Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 We are only interested in TS at this point, a few people that are going are 100% set on this. With this being said I have been bidding on Priceline over the past 4 days for 2 rooms in an attempt to get the 4 * Millennium Broadway. I have bid all the way up to 150 for 2 rooms, but still havent had any luck. I may just go with the Crowne Plaza as it finally opened up for 4 people at 289. I have been utilizing the links when I go through PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. I will post an update once available.
AaronJB Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Good luck on bidding, and let us know what you decide.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.
dmwrigh3 Posted August 21, 2009 Author Report Posted August 21, 2009 Final UpdateI finally decided to book the Hampton Inn Times Square North utilizing Hilton Honors program. Had enough points to cover all 3 nights so decided to go that route especially since they dont charge any extra for having 4 people in a room. Thanks for your assistance. Will continue to recommend the board to everyone. Thanks
yellowdog Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Thanks for the follow-up and closing this thread with your ultimate decision.
