I have booked by air flights and am looking for a good hotel deal for 4 adults, 1 room. Hotwire has a deal for $286/night for 4*/non smoking/fitness center/restaurant/business center/hi speed internet in Midtown central. Can you please help identify which hotel this is? My other option is Hilton Garden in NY Chelsea for 295/night for 4 adults --> 2 twin beds via Orbitz. It is non refundable. Would you suggest to wait for better deals on hotwire a little later? When is a suggested good time to find deals on hotwire for a stay in oct from 9th-11th?

I moved this to its own topic since it's a different trip from the original poster in the other thread.The 4* HOTWIRE property would likely be the Sheraton NY and Towers.October is generally a very busy time, and the fact that this would be a party of 4 adults in one room is almost certainly resulting in extra person fees (for each adult beyond the initial 2), which is common in cities like NYC.Personally, instead of either of these ideas, I'd rather recommend the Flatotel for $258 via Orbitz.com. That would also get you a microwave and fridge, which are nice to have in NYC (for leftovers and snacks.)Additionally, coupon code SUMMERVIN may work to take 15% off each night, although use of the coupon may require that you purchase with a Visa. Even at $258, the Flatotel seems like a better, more reasonable choice than either the HOTWIRE listing or the Four Points.Please use the site's Orbitz or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase.

thereuare Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 The MTC property is a match for the Sheraton New York so that would be our best guess for that one.Although the Hilton Garden Inn is a lower star rating, it gets better reviews.There is no "right" time to buy other than when you see a good deal... nobody can say if rates will go down, or up, between now and you're stay, but i will add that this is typically an exepensive time in NYC, and your sitaution is a bit tougher sicne you're seeking quad occupancy (many hotel rooms in NYC can only accomodate double occupancy)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
