Priceline Hotel: Rome Central 5* 9/10-9/11 help

I am trying to bid Rome Central 5* for Thursday Sept 10 1 nite. Already have Friday and Saturday free with Rewards 1 free nite! Yeah me. I've tried:

Started again 24 hr. later on 7/26

no luck. suggestions? I have been offered to extend stay for the advanced rate of 266euro.

I will also bid or Hotwire for Florence 9-13 and 9-14 and Venice 9-15 and 16. see that thread. Those on hold right now.

What hotel do you have the reward stays at? Given the $380(US) rate to stay at the same hotel, how high are you willing to bid for a 5* hotel for this remaining nite?

The Intercontinental. I've seen the bidding for this hotel around $176-200. I assume US Dollar.

Assuming that rate was for dates different than your own, it's not really an apples-to-apples comparison... rates for your dates could be higher than usual and rates for those $175-$200 wins could have been lower than usual. (not saying that's the case, but not always easy to duplicate another win for dates other than your own, and need to base your maximum bid again your other best available options)

So given the $380/nite rate to continue your stay at this property, is $200 your maximum bid at this time?
