drphil Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I'll be in Chicago 8-7 to 8-10. The first night I'm staying by O'Hare (see this Hotwire Chicago thread). I'm still looking for the other nights. It looks like it'll be in a suburb somewhere since downtown is really bid up (probably due to Lollapalooza?).Breakfast included and possibility of getting 2 beds are nice to haves. I'm hoping for <$60 a night before fees and taxes. Any ideas? One possibility I see is:2.5* hotel in Lombard - Oak Brook - Downers Grove Area $39Breakfast, Fitness, InternetNo Tripadvisor info.
AaronJB Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, and these amenities are not uncommon in this area. Might be the Hampton Inn (?) or an upgraded Holiday Inn Express w/different amenities, but those would be just guesses. You may want to book a refundable rate somewhere in case availability downtown opens up last minute. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
drphil Posted July 27, 2009 Author Report Posted July 27, 2009 Following CcSqueaky123's suggestion, I got Staybridge Suites Oakbrook Terrace on Priceline for $33. I had hid up to $45 for a 3.5* but got nothing. Then I rebid at $33 for 3* and got the Staybridge.
