bnorrb Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Yes, it was cheap ($29.00) per night (July 19 - July 22), but it was listed as a 4 star and in NO WAY was this a 4 star hotel. The Grand Sierra Reno was far from grand. Our room was filthy...stained carpets, moldy bathroom and someone elses hair in the tub YUCK! We complained and were first told we could upgrade our room for $90, but after further discussion we were offered the $90 room upgrade at no charge. This room was even worse although it had a seating area. Same stained carpet, same moldy bathroom and an additional bonus.....the beds were sloped towards the head....or at least that was what we thought. To find out the entire room was sloped enough that my lotion rolled off the desk and under the bed! To say the least, we forfeited our last 2 nights and moved on with our trip. We used the link on this site for Hotwire as we alwats do, but this time that star rating was WAY off!
