FurryFriend Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 What exactly is the relationship between travel websites and the hotels?I had a bad experience with Hotwire.com two months ago. I booked a room in Vegas and, when I showed up, the hotel did not have record of my reservation. Fortunately, I went during the weekday so there were plenty of other rooms available. Now, I have a booking with Zuji.com, a travel website in Asia affiliated with Travelocity. I'm kinda paranoid that booking isn't solid either. I'm travelling in 48 hours to Singapore and phoned the hotel and the hotel claimed not to have me in their reservation system. Zuji said this is normal because some hotels don't download their guest list until 24 hours prior to arrival. What can I do to prevent a repeat of my Hotwire experience?
