I just tried for 09/11/09 - 09/14/09 $46/night and it was not accepted --HELP!?!?

Also, I went directly to the hotels website and typed in my info and it said the rooms were all booked up.

trigyyz,

We asked that you follow-up those other threads with whatever you ended up doing for those trips so that the information can help others... adding a "thank you" is appreciated (your welcome :) ) but doesn't help anyone who may be looking at those threads in the future. Can you please add replies to those threads with what you ended up doing for each... then bump this thread and let us know your maximum bid for the Tampa stay above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

sry for messing things up yall. It's been a while.

I really don't want to go past 100/nite. 4+ star and I'm willing to go to Tampa downtown also.

thanks again yall.

Do you prefer the Westshore-Airport TPA zone and want to try for a 4* there up to your limit before trying for a Downtown property... or is your goal the least expensive 4* hotel in either zone?

Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

3.5* Tampa (Airport TPA-Westshore) Marriott Tampa Airport

$51 ... 9/11/09-9/14/09

sadly I will not be using this reservation.

No way am I staying at a hotel that is connected to the airport,

only because it's me and my wife and we will need more amenities than this place can offer.

I screwed myself with this one.

$181 bux down the tubes. :)

Sorry to hear that you will not be able to use this reservation - are you not interested in the hotel because of noise, or other factors?

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.

Enjoy your stay.

Aaron,

thank you for your reply.

Me and the wife really need a pool and to be closer to the entertainment areas.

I have nothing against this hotel, just the fact that it does not suit our needs.

I sure wish there a was a way to recoup some of the money lost on my mistake.

That's really too bad. How far would it be from where you need to be? Rather than re-booking at a different hotel, would it be less expensive to use cabs from this one to get where you need to be?

Unfortunately, I can't think of a way to solve the no pool issue.

Posted

you're right my friend, it would be less expensive to drive to where we want to go.

I've never stayed at an airport hotel before. And, upon further review, it does have a pool! :)

We may actually stay here after all!

Regular rates are $129 per night! And I got it for $51!

Still, if you can provide any help with booking another hotel based aopn my parameters,

all help is greatly appreciated!

If you would still like to still book another property, I would much rather recommend HOTWIRE, as at least with that service, each hotel listing provides a set of amenities that the hotel offers and you can look for hotel listings that show a pool. With PRICELINE, there is no guarantee that the hotel you win will offer a pool.

Let us know if you need help trying to ID any properties on HOTWIRE.

Best of luck, and I hope you can still figure out a way to make this Marriott work, as it would be too bad to not be able to use this reservation and still have to pay for another one somewhere else.
