Appreciate any help or better guesses than mine on this property, for Saturday August 15, 1 night in San Juan. Description is:

Casino

Smoke-Free

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

High-Speed Internet

3.5 Stars

Price $99

Nothing else, so I'm not sure if this might be the Radisson Ambassador, the Courtyard, or something else. We'd always rather pay a little more on Hotwire vs. Priceline if we can be certain of non-smoking and Internet in our room -- and I'm dubious right now about the Priceline hotels used even though this is a one night pre-cruise stay. Thanks!

A property with this exact amenity combination has not yet been reported to the board, but...

If you change your search to 2adults/2children a 'new' 3.5* shows up in this zone for the same price with:

Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry

and a TA raitng of 4.0/5.0

This is a match for the Courtard Isla Verde and that would be our best guess.

Given the same pricepoint, I speculate that this may be the same hotel you're seeing above on a 2adults/0children search, but can't be certain, so if you're interested in trying to target this property it would be 'safer' to do so as a 2adult/2chidren purchase since this is the search that shows all the amenities associated with the previous report for tis property as well as the added information of the tripadvisor reviews.

Thanks so much -- and very weird; never knew that changing the presence or number of children would make a difference in the selection/price. When I just tried it for 2 children, my 3.5* listing had a price of $95 so it was CHEAPER with the addition of two children. There was a different 2.5* listing, up in price from $75 to $89, and a different 4* listing up in price from $106 to $114 that strangely enough showed no casino, pool or laundry but added tennis and spa.

I never understood Hotwire to build in extra charges for rollaway beds, so I'm not really sure why the discrepancies. Seems odd that the hotels themselves might change just on the children aspect.

I'll certainly post what comes up if we go for it!

Used permutation bidding for a San Juan 4* only (was trying to only get the La Concha Renaissance for its location but obviously found the system will upgrade to Resort if it wishes) starting and $77 and going up in $1 and $2 steps (total of 16 rebids possible.) Started new screen each time; used Better Bidding PRICELINE link. At $88 I kept getting the infamous "one-time" invitations to raise bid by $22, which I ignored. I do like that it's casino-free, however, so hoping it's going to be a pleasant pre-cruise stay!
