I am looking for a hotel for staying one night (9/17). It should to be close to the airport and have free shuttles to the airport. Looking for something inexpensive -- just safe and clean, nothing fancy.

Budget: $75 (including tax)

Zone: ??

Was planing to selecting the Logan area, but luckily checked it on the map -- it is a very large area, Quincy Market seems to be closer to the airport than some parts of the Logan zone.

What should I do?

Thanks!

Quincy Market is not the zone you go for if you hope for shuttles to the airport. And if a shuttle is a must should you go with HOTWIRE for this stay.

The Boston subway systerm's silver line (which the silver line is actually a bus) goes to the airport... there would be a fare involved to use it, but if you're looking to stay 'Downtown' it is do-able and the fare is reasonable (~$2-3 i'm guessing). Looks like the Blue line goes to the airport too: MBTA website

Not sure if this works for your needs of not of a 'free shuttle'... if you're arriving late and leaving early the next morning it may be easier to take stay near the airport and then 'commute' from the hotel to downtown if you were looking to go out for the nite (keep in mind Boston's train system shuts down sometime after midnite or 1am). Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

It is most important to be close to the airport: we have an early morning flight to catch. Free shuttles are not as important. Proximity to downtown Boston is not necessary.

Which zone should I bid in?

Thanks.

If you look at PRICELINE's map of this area you'll see that the Revere-Logan Airport zone is the area which includes the airport. However, note that the zone goes pretty far north and you could receive a hotel anywhere in the zone. You could also consider PRICELINE's Waterfront zone which is 'across the river' but easily accessible via Mas Pike and may be closer to the airport geographically, than some points in the Northern part of the airport zone.

Let us know which zone(s) you'd like to include and how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
