dealVP Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 I bid through the link here on PRICELINE for a 3.5 star in Montgomery, AL for $45 which was rejected and then I was prompted to raise my bid $13 more. I wasn't clear on how to rebid (didn't want to increase the $13) so I was going to wait until tomorrow and try again. I am trying to get the Embassy Suites which I saw someone got last week for $50. Is that what I should increase my bid to? THANKS!

dealVP Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 Although I have no idea why it matters what I did for a trip to Florida when I am trying months later to book a trip in Alabama, I did post that I did not end up following through with it because I could not be assured of getting the hotel I was looking at.
thereuare Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Ideally every thread on the board should have a 'conclusion' with what was ultimately done for that stay, as it keeps the board better organized, is more useful for other users, and is respectful to those who took the time to help, knowing that the information/advice they provided was at least read and used (and hopefully resulting in a successful purchase with some savings). So in practice, a better reply than "did nothing", would have been what you did do for that stay. If i was heading to Palm Harbor and was having trouble getting a hotel thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, knowing where you ultimately ended up booking could give me antoher place to consider for my own stay. For that stay, if you ultimately booked the Embassy Suites directly, please note that we're an affilaite of this chain as well as all the other Hiton brands, as well as most major hotel chains and online booking agencies, please check our support page for your hotel direct purchases. For your Montgomery stay above, i'm showing 3* as the highest star level available in this zone, is that what you had bid? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
