I'm not seeing the 2.5* above on my own HOTWIRE search for your dates above.

Are you still seeing this on your own hotwire search, and if so, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?

:) I won this hotel for a $52 bid. I tried $40 at first trying to get the Homewood Suites as a previous poster did. However I was rejected at $40. They gave me to the chance to try again with an increase of $12 so I tried again. I ended up with the Residence Inn Orlando International Drive on Canada Avenue for $52.00. I'm happy with this because of the free breakfast and free parking. I used your PRICELINE link to book so that you get credit.

Congratualtions on your success!

Glad to see you received a hotel that works well for your plans and that you're happy with the results.

For future reference, you can usually undercut PRICELINE's counter-offers as discussed in this priceline suggests price to pay thread.

Thank you for using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding and sharing your win with the board, helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List.

Enjoy your stay.

I was wondering if I should have waited the 72 hours instead. I have 3 weeks left so that is plenty of time. Oh well, next time I will use a better strategy.

Also, It looks as if this Residence Inn is very old but I see on their own website it says "all rooms have been refurbished". Do you know if this is true or if there is a website out there with a list of hotels that have undergone refurbishment? I'm thinking they were because older tripadvisor reviews are bad, but the two most recent ones are really quite good. Hmmmmmm......... :)

If their website states that the rooms have been refurbished then they have been, but the questions is "when"?? If you really want to know you can call the hotel and ask, but generally speaking most Residence Inn properties are well kept and have nice perks like free brekfast and internet, they do a good job maintaining the brand, imo.
