hikimmo Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Two nights Thurs. 4/28 & Fri. 4/29/05My first bid was Worcester for $47. Priceline "offered" to guarantee the reservation for $13 more, so I knew I was getting close. My only other area option was Auburn. I bid $53 and won the bid.Last year our convention had blocks of rooms at the both the Worcester Crowne Plaza and the Holiday Inn. Convention specials were $99/night. Let's just say I'm happy! Now if I can only get Logan for our last night...Kim
thereuare Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Thank you for posting your win and enabling us to add this hotel to our lists!Your winning bid is a good example of why i like to bid early (as you did) rather than late. With Pricelne's counter offer you knew you were close and could try to undercut it, knowing that if you were rejected you still had plenty of time. If your stay was right around the corner, you may not have had to simply accept their counter-offer for fear of not getting a room slightly lower.Enjoy your stay.
