varnau
Needed to book a hotel tonight in Los Angeles... was aiming for West Hollywood but close enough... lowest rate on the Marriott site is $140. First tried for *3 in W.H./Beverly Hills $60, rejected. Added Santa Monica and raised to $65, rejected. Lowered to 2.5* and raised bid to $70 accepted at Residence Inn. Good enough for this spur of the moment trip. I've stayed at this hotel before and it was reasonably nice. Gorgeous lobby for an extended stay, fairly large rooms, front desk staff was super nice and the free breakfast is decent. Like most hotels in this area, parking is ~ $17 a night (not included of course). Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for sharing your win.I don't know if you felt rushed since this was a last minute bid, but you raised your bid price and lowered your star quality at the same time, and this is usually not recommended. It is explained further in this thread: If You Lower Your Star Quality, Then Lower Your Bid Price.Hope you enjoyed your stay.
