I'm looking at 8-7 to 8-10 in the Chicago area for 2 adults. That weekend seems especially pricey (120+) in the downtown / Magnificent Mile areas so I decided to look at something more suburban. I'll be flying in to ORD anyway.

Any ideas on:

3-star hotel in Lombard - Oak Brook - Downers Grove Area $39

Fitness and business center. No additional items when I click show all amenities. No trip advisor info.

2.5-star hotel in Lombard - Oak Brook - Downers Grove Area $39

Neither of the above properties have been identified, but...

If you change your search to 2adults/2children a 'new' 3* appears in this zone for $48 with:

Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf

This is a match for the Holiday Inn Oak Terrace so that would be our best guess for that one.

There is also a 3.5* with:

Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf which matches both the Crowne Plaza and the Hilton Suites so either of these would be our best guess for this one.

I do'nt know if you are still looking or not. But I just booked the Staybridge Suites Oakbrook Terrace through the name your own price on PRICELINE for $30 a night for the same dates you are staying there.

I've decided to build up this itinerary piece by piece. The first night I'm arriving late at O'Hare (~11:30 pm) so I booked near the airport. I got:

Holiday Inn CHICAGO-ELK GROVE

1000 BUSSE ROAD

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007

for $48 + 11.93 taxes and fees for the night.

This is listed as 3* in O'Hare Intl Airport ORD North. Amenities are:

Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby

I realize I won't get points for this stay, but should I call and try to add my priority club number?

Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure about going with PRICELINE though. There are a lot of hotels in that zone for 3*. What are the chances I'd get the Staybridge as well?

With HOTWIRE I can see if breakfast is offered and try to get 2 beds by specifying more than 2 people.
