Hotwire Hotel: 4* Zurich Holiday Inn Zurich-Messe

I tried PRICELINE, hoping to get a good deal for the day my friend and I arrive in Zurich, but bids of $105 for a four-star hotel in Central Zurich (or $57 for one in both Central Zurich and Glattbrugg) didn't turn anything up, so I couldn't pass on the $59 Hotwire option.

Although the price is unbeatable and roughly a third of the rack rate, I'm still a bit disappointed that it's a Holiday Inn and not the Renaissance Glattbrugg--I think it takes real creativity to label a Holiday Inn a four-star hotel. Oh well, it has good ratings on Tripadvisor, so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hey, sorry I forgot to post the amenities. Apparently the only listed amenities were

--Fitness Center

--Business Center

--High-speed internet access

Again not sure how these amenities = four-star hotel, but guess I can't complain for $59/night in Zurich.

Thank you for your post as Switzerland is just newly added as a HOTWIRE country. I am just sorry that they added both Zurich and Geneva as one zone cities.

I tried to use Howire just last week and still got the message that the country would soon be added and am glad to see that it has been.
