chanteuse Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 I booked 2 rooms for 7 nights each at the above dates for $43 per night, at $602.00. After taxes and fees of $78.82 the total price was $680.82. Priceline has this hotel listed at 2.5*; however I thought it interesting to note that all of the other online travel agents that I checked have it listed as a 3*. I know from experience that this is about as good as it gets in Gainesville, so I'm very happy with the hotel for the price. It's actually lower than the retail price of many of the 1* and 2* hotels. My first bid of $40 for a 3* hotel was rejected and I was then given the option to change something about my original bid to try again. I added the 2.5* hotel option and raised the price to $43 and voila! it worked. Also, I don't believe that this hotel has been added to the master hotel list yet. Thanks for a great, informative site!

chanteuse Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 Ah I see. I think I was just so worried about being rejected again that I figured raising the price would work better. I know better now for next time, although the lowest I've seen the rooms there at retail is around $78.00 so I still got a bargain. Every little bit always helps though.
