jetlag711 Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Hello,My boyfriend and I are going to Honolulu from 9/8-9/19. We want to stay in a resort on Waikiki beach area, preferably on the beach. I am wondering a couple of things:1) Is it better to bid now, or wait until much closer to our departure date? 2) What is better to bid on, priceline or hotwire ? What is the main difference between these sites?3) On hotwire, for those dates, they are offering the below resort for 115 per night: anybody have a good guess at what place this is?ResortBeachfrontBeachfrontFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.Business CenterLaundry Facilities<amenity names only please... not descriptions>High-speed Internet AccessChildren's Activity ProgramAny help, advice would be appreciated. i have never done this before. Thanks!
thereuare Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!1) Is it better to bid now, or wait until much closer to our departure date?See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.2) What is better to bid on, priceline or hotwire ? What is the main difference between these sites?Start with this I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire thread which explains the similarities, and differences, between the two servcies.3) On hotwire, for those dates, they are offering the below resort for 115 per night: anybody have a good guess at what place this is?You'll need to let know the star rating and zone that HOTWIRE assigns to this property and we'll be able to take a look. (also, note that you listed Beachfront twice, is this just typing the same thing twice or should that icon be something posted as something different?)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
