lcome Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 Is there a convention calendar link for New York city? I'm planning a trip in October 2009 and I'm finding the HOTWIRE hotel rates somewhat high. I don't want to plan my trip when there is a large convention in the city causing hotel rates to go up. I need to purchase broadway show tickets soon, so I'll be locked in to a certain date. Thanks.
thereuare Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Try this Calendar for the Javitz Center. However, note that rates are generally high in October so you should expect higher price than we're currently seeing for the summer months (which is a low season)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. It's hard to plan a trip to avoid that. Did you have any luck finding a good hotel deal for NYC in October yet? I have seen really good prices on Quikbook. I don't know the exact days you are looking to travel but, I did see Hotel Azure (in Tribeca/SoHo) for $160/night and Hotel Thirty Thirty for $168/night during the second week of October.
lcome Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks, I'll look into these. No decision yet. We're hoping for Chelsea, but OK with Times Square. The east side doesn't appeal, it's just not convenient enough. We have been watching Hotwire, but the rates are still high.
thereuare Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Not sure what you're looking for from this stay, but do note that the above are not really 'mainstream' properties... the Hotel Azure is not in the most convenient neighborhood for the typical tourist and the Thirty Thirty is clean and functional, but a bare bones type of property.Have you decided upon dates yet? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. mrree Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Is there a calendar of best/worst times to visit NYC. What about early November. I"m looking at Nov 4 - 8 or so.... any idea?Try this Calendar for the Javitz Center. However, note that rates are generally high in October so you should expect higher price than we're currently seeing for the summer months (which is a low season)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
thereuare Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Here is an updated Javitz Calendar... but NYC is often dictated by events outside of the convention center (ie- Fashion Week, United Nations, etc). For help with your upcoming stay please start a NEW TOPIC in the Priceline New York forum.Thanks.
