Planner Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 On 17 April, 2010 I'm arriving in Kona,HI. I need to rent a compact and then wind my way to the Kohala Coast area. I'ld like spend about ~$150 for resort class accomodations for 6 nights. Then I'ld like to find my way to the Volcano Village area for 3 nights(23-25th) for ~$200 nightly. Next I'ld like to drop off the rental car in Hilo and fly over to Honolulu for 3 nights(26-28th) in Waikiki hoping to spend ~150$ for 4* or Resort digs. A flight to Kahului, Maui on the 29th would need to be arranged as well as the rental of another Cobalt; then firing off to Kanaapali for a resort class spread(~$175) till I leave the evening of May 2.thanks for any help on this trip plan,

Planner Posted August 8, 2009 Author Report Posted August 8, 2009 Sorry about the delay. I was looking in the wrong spot for my post then gave up.Anyway I like to plan ahead; I actually have arranged accomodations for Maui and Waikiki since my last post, (but not thru opaque bidding).I don't mind fully pre-paying that far in advance if the deal merits it. I've never used this kind of bidding process though. The Resort rated property at Waikola-Kohala coast hasn't been arranged yet.

bbbb Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 If you can fly into JHM instead of OGG you will be 5 mins from the Kanaapali resorts. OGG is 40-60 mins depending on the time of day.
Planner Posted August 9, 2009 Author Report Posted August 9, 2009 thereuare -- I take it you mean "Waikoloa - Kohala Coast" instead of Maui's Wailea. When I bid I'll report back but I might research a bit first.bbbb--- I did look into Kapulua Airport but the long shuttle for car rentals and the fact I'm leaving from Kahului for the mainland persuaded me to use Kahului. Thanks
