soleglo
Is there anyway to ensure I will get 2 beds or a bed and a sofabed when using HOTWIRE or PRICELINE in NYC? I need this as me and my bff are going and we need 2. Thanks Link to comment
soleglo
2 star condo midtown eastAmenities list condo, suite, studio, kitchen, a/c, 24 hour front desk, laundry and hi speed internet. $135 July 21-25. Any ideas, it doesn't exactly match the Best Western hospitality house. Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
To ensure separate sleeping accomodations you need to search HOTWIRE for triple occupancy. The 2* property has not yet been reported to the board, and i would advise against a 2* rated property in NYC. While some 2* properties may be fine, some may not, and with PRICELINE and HOTWIRE you cant' choose which type you will get. As well, the 'value' is usually at the higher star level hotels. What is your maximum budget for this trip? soleglo
Maximum is $150 if that is feasible. I currently have a ressie at Radio City Apts for $178 and just wanted to see if I could beat it. I agree on the unrated property, that would be pretty scary. Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
While I would not recommend this property either, I'll throw out the Sutton Suites as a *guess*. It could very well be something else. Link to comment
thereuare
Have you tried bidding for this stay yet?I think you have a good shot at a 4* hotel for these dates for less than a $178/nite bid... and almost certain you'll have success at a 3.5* property at that level. What is it that you're looking for from this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. soleglo
My only concern with bidding is I absolutely need 2 beds. With PRICELINE, I am willing to even do a 3 star, with good reviews of course. Midtown, Chelsea, Soho, MSG are areas I would like to stay in, but I am open as long as they are very close to the subway. Again its the fear of receiving a room with only 1 bed that concerns me the most, but we really need a cheaper room than our current reservation. Link to comment
AaronJB
The Beekman Tower is available for these dates for $174 on Expedia for a Superior 1BR suite; that would have 1 bed and 1 sofabed. Plus, take $10 off each night using 10JUL coupon code = $164. Additionally, you get a $50 gas card if you purchase via Expedia (details on the Expedia.com website.)Please use the site's Expedia link if this is idea is of interest. Link to comment
thereuare
Do you have a two bedded room reserved at the Radio City Apartments of is that something you're looking to improve upon as well? soleglo
Yes my reservation at Radio City does have 2 beds. I was just trying to see if there was anything cheaper. If not I have stayed at Radio City before, and I don't have a problem with it, and the location is great. Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are not high for these dates, but it's the two bed requirement that is preventing you from finding a great deal for these dates, but i would still check for the next two days (or until whenever your reseration is no longer cancellable)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know if anything new presents itself in the next two days.
