redundant echo Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 I started bidding earlier this week at $65, with $5 increments, rejected for 3 or 4 tries for a 4 star. I started out this eve. at $85 & $90 & was accepted at $95 ($116.70 with tax & fees). I'm happy with this price & getting the Sheraton & so are my friends. I had bid $75 ($93.67 w/tax & fees) on 5/27 for 9/19-9/20 & got the Westin Seattle on first bid. I think I paid more this time as the 9/11 date is the day before a cruise & 9/19 is the end of the cruise season (for Alaska anyway) & most folks probably flying back on Saturday. Also, maybe due to waiting longer. Communication mix-up with friends, thought they had already booked. We will have 3 in our room. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?
thereuare Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win(s) and thank you for sharing your results with the board. Please stick with the board format of only one win per thread... this enables each to appear as its own thread in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. We'll use this thread for your 9/11 stay, please start a NEW TOPIC for your 9/19 stay.As far as having triple occupancy, it could be a problem as PRICELINE only guarnatees double occupancy, but you can call the hotel now and put in a request for a room with two beds.
