Hotel or resort?

I want to stay somewhere nice, preferably on the beach. Would love someplace that has a bar to drink Mai Tai's with a view of the water. Gym would be great.

I'm worried about bidding too low and winding up with an inferior hotel. I always chose the highest quality. Is $150 a night an unreal expectation for a great place?

Also, when we check in, any suggestions on making sure we get a room with a view?

The only way to guarantee a Beachfront property is by using HOTWIRE and purchasing a room with a Beachfront icon. I would thin that a Resort class hotel on PRICELINE should be beachfront, but i don't believe it would be guaranteed, and you'd have a tough time arguinng your case with them, should you receive a hotel not on the beach.

HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel for $169/nite which appears to be the Sheraton, would this be of interest to you?

You also can't guarantee a room with a view, you can call the hotel prior to your arrival and put in a request for a room with a view, but whether the hotel is willing to honor your request or not would be at their descretion (afterall, you would likely be there as one of the lowest paying guests in the house)

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
