SportsGal999 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Used the PRICELINE link through this forum to make the purchase. This was a very last minute booking and I started at $60 bid with $5 increments and ended up at $85.. (Even though I saw other people got it for $75 :) ) But I am still happy with the Westin, had a feeling it would be either that or the Sheraton. But this is better than paying $185+ a night :) For some reason it seems like it's really busy in Seattle this weekend I wonder why..My first PRICELINE purchase :) (Found out about this forum through a friend). Now it's time to e-mail the concierge to try and get a free upgrade! :o
overseastar Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 For some reason it seems like it's really busy in Seattle this weekend I wonder why..I think it's because of the "Bite of Seattle" event. Congratz on your purchase =)
thereuare Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you got a great deal and are happy with the results.Another reason for it being busy, besides general seasonal factors, is that it's the weekend and many pre-cruise passengers will be coming into for a few days, or at least the nite before, their embarkation. (although the Bite of Seattle seems like a good reason to be there too!)Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding. (as well as a thank you to your friend for recommending and letting your know about BetterBidding :) )Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
inspiration100 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 I'm pretty sure it's because of the Bite of Seattle. Dang the food is okay but every bus in the downtown area is completely full for the event. I'm surprised the Westin isn't booked full. The Seattle hotel guy.... Stayed in 14 hotels downtown and counting! Favorite Hotel Downtown: The Camlin Seattle (It's now a timeshare)
