It will display a claim form with all the required fields. Remember to make a printout or take a screen shot of the page with the lower airfare, in case a customer service representative has questions. Expect a response to your claim within 10 to 15 business days.Another good reason to utilize our AIR FARE PRICE CHECKER. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
marbalizer99 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Wish I would have known this sooner. I just Purchased a round trip airfare through US Airways for $357.90. Orbitz charges $363. Difference: $5.10.
timstravel Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 You didn't lose much - if you read the fine print, the $5 booking fee Orbitz charges is not included in the price guarantee:The Orbitz Low Fare Promise applies only to the total airfare and does not apply to differences based on service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket and other fees not collected on the airline ticket.Plus, the difference has to be at least $5 per ticket lower after the fees are taken into account - so you lost nothing.P.S. The guarantee only covers published fares, not those you would get by bidding through Priceline or Hotwire.
