Priceline Hotel: 3* Ft. Lauderdale (Downtown) Marriot Marina

I have tried Priceline several times in the past with no success. Last week I started my bidding for a 3* downtown FLL at $65 bucks and increased it by $10 two more times using my free bids. No luck. We wanted to stay in FLL several days pre-cruise. The cheapest I found either Marriott Marina or Embassy Suites on the Internet was about 270.00/nt. I turned off my computer and took my wife and our horses to Mammoth Cave, riding for the weekend. Came home Monday and Tuesday I rebid. Same 3*FLL downtown.

I knew I could bid 3 times so I started at $80/nt for 5 nights in January. And bingo, We are staying at the Marriott Marina. Maybe I should have started lower, but we are happy. So if you bid and aren't successful take you spouse horseback riding for the weekend and bid again. It worked for me.
