Alex H Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Hello all! My first post! I'm traveling to Vegas September 4-7 and had my eyes set on the Venetian and was going to go the route of naming my own price through priceline and running the risk of ending up at the Trump... I discovered this forum and decided to give HotWire.com a try. I'm trying to figure out what hotel this may be:*5September 4-7$159Central StripCasino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Also, does Hotwire have a bidding/name your own price like Priceline does? Thanks for your input!ps. Plan "B" would be to bid 4*, north vicinty on Priceline and hope to get the Mirage or TI. Your thoughts? And what is a reasonable bid for my plan "B"?
thereuare Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! The 5* above is a match for the Wynn so that would be my best guess for that one. There is no bidding with HOTWIRE, the price offered is the price you pay. For additional info you can see this I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire thread which explains the similarities, and differences, between the two services. If you go with Plan B what would be the reason... to save money OR to avoid the Trump? If the latter, you won't be able to avoid the Trump by bidding 4* since the star rating you select is the minimum you're willing to accept, PRICELINE could always upgrade your 4* bid to a 5* hotel. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proveed and we'll advise accordingly.
