Traveler2000 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 We were able to use a similar strategy as this Priceline Hotel Win and obtained the Founders Inn for $90 per night for the evenings of 7/11/09 and 712/09.We first tried area 9 (by the beach) and bid $75, $80 & $85 and all bids were rejected. We then tried area 9 (by the beach) and area 8 (Pembroke area), and tried $90 for a 4 star, which was accepted.Since we needed 10 rooms, we bid for 5 and then when the bid was accepted, we bid for another 5 at $90 and kept our fingers crossed that it would be the same hotel. Luckily, it was. When we checked in, we were told that Priceline was the only service that does not include the $11.55 per night resort fee.Since we felt we had received a favorable per night rate ($90), the $11.55 was acceptable, but a surprise.Everyone in the group enjoyed the facility. The only negative was waiting for rooms to be available when we checked in.
