Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Chicago (Magnificent Mile-Streeterville) Embassy Suites Lakefront

Need some help with knowing where to start bidding. Checked Hyatt MP and Palmer House - both showed no availability. Willing to go up to about $100.

Also my husband and I will be traveling with our nine year old son. Is there a chance a hotel i get through priceline would not have enough room for the three of us?

PRICELINE does not guarantee two beds; while you may be able to request two, the hotel is only required to provide 1. HOTWIRE would be a better choice for the situation. There is a 3* for $99 in the Mag Mile area for these dates on HOTWIRE when one searches for 2 adults/1 child.

If you are still interested in taking the risk and using PRICELINE, let us know and we will be happy to suggest a strategy. If you absolutely must have bedding for everyone in your party, I would suggest HOTWIRE.

I guess I will go with HOTWIRE since we have 3 and I am a little scared of winding up with the W through priceline (stayed there once, and though we were ok with it, it doesn't seem like the place for a child). Can you give me any ideas of what the Hotwire hotels are for these dates? I was thinking a 4*, and it looks like there are a couple available not too much more than $100. Also, just curious as to what the 4.5 would be? I tried to figure it out, but couldn't. Should I move this topic over to the Hotwire forum? Thank you so much for your help.

Seems like the rates went up alot today, and the water tower area hotels are no longer listed. Do the rates on hotwire fluctuate alot daily?

Also i see palmer house and hyatt are now available again each for around $200night on their websites so still considering priceline.

Are you searching HOTWIRE for 2adults/1child on your searh above as i'm not seeing any of the same properties offered that you've listed above when i just searched HOTWIRE for your dates..

I just checked. The 4* is now $142, but everything else is the same

I'm still not seeing these when searching for 7/24-27 - are you searching for HOTWIRE for 2 adults and 1 child or just 2 adults? Those two searches will yield different results.

I am so sorry, but it should be 7/25 for 3 nights, not 7/24

Finally booked the room through HOTWIRE today. Have been watching the rates steadily increase for the last week. Many hotels are also sold out for this time period also.

This morning there was a 3.5 star with suite, breakfast, fitness center, pool, restraunt, business center and high speed internet for $134 so took that.

Used your links to HOTWIRE.

Happy with the choice, since we have 3 will enjoy the suite/breakfast/pool. Just one question, is there a bus or shuttle near there that will take us to sears tower, or water tower place?
